Annual General Meeting
The 2008 Busting With Life AGM was held on Monday 25 August at Domain Lodge. Official minutes will be forthcoming in due course, but here are a few highlights noted by your webmaster:
- The team had a banner year on and off the water - paddling, winning, fund-raising, fun and camaraderie
- The 10th anniversary celebration event was a particular highlight - the efforts of many made it a success enjoyed by many current and former members, coaches, and partners.
- The team's bank balance is currently healthy, but fund-raising must always be top-of-mind to keep costs down for members.
- Former president Marcia Fraser was unanimously voted a Life Member of Busting With Life - recognising her huge contribution to the team during her 5 year presidency.
- Trea Kenny advised the team that she would be stepping down from the team. This was clearly a heart-breaking decision for her, and not one made without much consideration. Judith thanked Trea on behalf of the team for the contribution she has made - as president for the past year, and as on-the-water inspiration and humour for the past two years.
