Splash 'N' Dash Super 10 - Westhaven - 28 April 2012

Perhaps these new 10 seaters detract from the mystery and history of the 20 seater boats, but certainly are fun and must allow teams many more options with racing and training.

National Championships - Lake Hood, Ashburton - 31 March 2012

Perfect South Island Autumnal weather and paddling conditions contributed to this superbly organised event by Aoraki Dragons. Loads of camaraderie, re-connections and laughs a-plenty made for an awesome weekend away.

Auckland Regionals - Lake Pupuke - 24 March 2012

With a day more suited to kite- and wind-surfing, the weather conditions challenged even the most experienced sweeps and paddlers, but a GOLD medal made it all worth it in the end.

Splash N Dash Auckland - 25 February 12

Despite the weather threatening to drench the occasion, and dark skies looming overhead, all the wet came from being on-the-water. Great to see some out-of-towners travel up to Auckland to take part.

Oceanbridge Auckland Anniversary Day Regatta - 30 Jan 12

We couldn't have asked for a better day - sunscreen and hats were a must. Another spectacular Anniversary Day event shared with the Seafood Festival, Buskers and nautical activity galore.

Hamilton Regatta, Hamilton Lake - 3 December 11

Our first "Summer" Regatta of the season delivered strong winds, heavy rain, and at the end of the day, patches of blue sky - four Seasons in one day.

Tauranga Regatta, The Lakes, Tauriko - 19 November 11

For the second time this year we were back at The Lakes for another superbly organised event. Several new Corporate teams joined in with the regulars in the spirit of the occasion with dressing up and making their mark on the day.

National Championships, Blue Lake Rotorua - 26 March 11

A wet and misty day presented conditions which challenged even the experienced paddlers. Whilst not the result we expected, friendship and camaraderie was a winner on the day.

Paddles Ready !!!

For thirteen years and counting, the Busting With Life Dragon Boat team has participated in dragon boat racing to make a difference – to raise awareness of breast cancer and to encourage those living with it to lead full and active lives. And, while making a difference in the wider community, members have competed locally, nationally and internationally, enjoyed new and sustaining friendships, gained from enhanced fitness, and had endless fun.
